Rob Cottle specializes in acquiring patent protection for computer-related inventions. She graduated first in her class at California State University's Bachelor of Computer Science program. She then spent several years completing graduate-level coursework in computer science. During her computer science studies, Rob served as the president of her Association for Computing Machinery student chapter and became a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, an international computer science honor society. She was also designated as a Rodman Presidential Scholar. Rob earned her Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Gonzaga University in 2005.
Rob has worked for several years acquiring patent protection in the computer and electrical arts for industry leaders such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, STMicroelectronics, and Amazon. Rob’s prosecution experience spans a multitude of technologies, including operating systems, computer architecture, database systems, e-mail software, wireless technologies, computer animation, networking, cryptography, printer technology, and mechanical devices.
Rob is admitted to the Washington State Bar (2005) and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (2003).
Rob has worked on a contract basis with Malhotra Law Firm PLLC since June 2013.
